Right-o. So currently I'm in the process of revamping the site. And by revamping, I mean deleting everything and starting over from scratch. Now, before you freak out, I'm not really deleting
everything. I'm simply re-coding everything. Meaning you are getting a completely new just depends. I know what you're thinking. You've heard this all before. But I mean it. Yes the content is basically the same, a no, I suppose there's nothing horribly new up. But really I'm hoping that by doing this, not only will you be able to access things easily, but you'll also discover things you might not have before.
Anyways, this part of the site will be the blog. I plan to update this blog as much as I update my
livejournal and my
dreamwidth which will hopefully keep people coming back for more. Note that justdepends also has it's own
livejournal and
dreamwidth accounts so that you can see when the site is updated faster. They also act as WIP fan fiction archives .
Okay. I'll stop going on about the site and start doing more blogging. I suppose this blog will act as a mix of both my
livejournal (friends only personal ranting blog) and
dreamwidth (fandom review rant blog). So not only will you find me blogging about my life (college drama and work rants) but also I'll be blogging about my current fandom obsessions (right now, its supernatural). So be on the look out for spoilers! I promise to give fair warning but still. You have been warned. SPOILERS BE HERE.
Anyways, I finished my sophomore year of Towson yesterday and summer has started. I'm currently employed at Borders and besides posting when I work I'm afraid I can't tell you more as my employers have had me sign a contract stating I will not blog about Borders. Because you know that competitors are reading this looking for a way to bring Borders down. Because Borders tells their lowly cashiers their plans for world domination. Shit! I just gave away our big secret! Well, hope no one reads this so I don't get fired. Ugh.
Don't get me wrong. My job is pretty awesome - for the most part. I get to work with some kick-ass awesome people (including my papi), borrow books like a library, get awesome discounts, and meet some pretty interesting people and talk about common interests. It's a great job. But of course there are some things I'm not big on. Like my hours kind of suck (I pretty much just work weekends, meaning I don't get one). To take a friggin' ten I have to give a summary of a make title and "sell it" which you know, isn't exactly in my job description. And there are other things that I'm not going to say mainly because someone's feelings could get hurt and I could possibly lose my job, which I
NEED.
I'm also an Art Education Major at Towson which is a five year program. That's right. I've got three more years after this and then I'm done, not the usual four like a majority of my friends. At least I'll leave Towson already certified which just makes like a bit easier. However it's a lot of work, especially since my advisor from freshmen year screwed me over and I took classes that didn't help me at all, setting me back. Which is why I'll be taking 19 credit next semester. I'll also be trying to hold down my job (I'll probably see if I can get a transfer to the Timonium Borders since it's closer to my soon-to-be apartment in Towson). Wish me luck. Seriously.
Anyways, my plans for the summer are pretty small. Basically it'll be work, 2 Blink 182 concerts (they're my all time favorite band and have been since 2001), Ocean City, theme parks (Hershey - goin' there for a blink concert, King's Dominion, etc.), and maybe Disney World. Earlier this year I hoped to go work at Disney for the summer but that didn't happen. Hey! There's always next summer. Then again I'll probably try to get a job as a summer art camp counselor. We'll see. We're also re-doing the inside of our house this summer (at least so says my mom) which means makeover for my room! Yay for painting!
Okay. I think I'll get back to working on the site. That's another thing I'll be doing this summer. Working on the site. Revamping
One Great City and working on my portfolio so that when I apply for my major officially, I'll get it.
